Puto Pao is a Filipino steamed rice cake filled with savory meat, often pork asado, combining sweet and savory flavors in one bite-sized treat.

Procedure:

  1. For asado filling sauté onion and garlic.
  2. Add ground chicken, soysauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Cook for 10 mins in medium heat 3 mins left add dissolved cornstarch
  3. For puto mixture, mix cake flour, sugar, baking powder, pinch of salt, milk powder, egg white water and melted butter. Mix for 1 min. and sift.
  4. Put half puto mixture in every molder. Then put 2 tsp. asado filling and put again puto mixture. Steam for 10 mins. In medium heat.
