Cansi

Cansi is a traditional Filipino sour beef soup, often made with shank or marrow bones, cooked with batwan (a sour fruit), and served with vegetables like banana blossoms and gabi (taro).

Ingredients:

Procedure:

  1. Defat beef in 30 mins.
  2. Sauté onion garlic and tomatoes.
  3. Add the deffatedbeef.
  4. Put the annatto powder, black pepper, salt, water, green chilli, lemon grass, ginger, tamarind and unripe jack fruit.
  5. Cook for 20 mins in medium heat.
