Beef Pares is a Filipino dish featuring tender beef simmered in a sweet and savory soy-based sauce, typically served with garlic rice and a bowl of soup on the side.

Procedure:

  1. Defat beef for 30 mins in medium heat.
  2. Sauté onion garlic and ginger.
  3. Add defatted beef, bay leaves, peppercorn, star anise, soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, brown sugar and dissolved cornstarch.
  4. Cook for 20 mins in medium heat.
  5. Garnish with spring onion, fried garlic, onion, and red chili.
